Description

This gluten-free, non-GMO recipe is easy to prepare. Pea protein powder can be mixed into side dishes or added to smoothies for a boost of nutrition.

  • 1 cup organic, dried split peas

Instructions

  1. Place the dried split peas in a high-speed blender or food processor and blend for 3 minutes or until a fine powder is formed.
  2. Use a sieve or a fine mesh strainer to sift the powder to sort out any large pieces. You may grind these larger pieces again until finely powdered.
  3. Store the pea protein powder in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. You can freeze the powder to extend its shelf life by placing it in vacuum-seal bags and storing it in a freezer.
